Easter wishes

We wanted to show that: Being a grandparent is a huge job, but my grandparents have a great experience. Grandparents are a great treasure for grandchildren. It is a treasure for the whole family. If the grandparents needed help, you can pull out a helping hand to them, and your grandfather might be able to help you, for example, play the games. We wanted to show that we are the same, I and various relationships with older people. We wanted to develop language skills and in ICT. Involvement of children, parents and grandparents to work on the project strongly integrated the group. The project emphasized the important role in the life of a child has a family. The use of the internet publication (the opportunity to see your work) encouraged children and their parents and grandparents to continue to work and to seek diversification project ideas.

The aim and task of the kindergarten in accordance with the Act is to promote development of the child by organizing various educational situations conducive for establishing the child's multiple social contacts and entering into various personal interactions. Meets the objectives within specific areas such as educational learning and understanding of the world, acquiring skills through action, to find his place in the family. The project enabled the realization of these goals.
Development of social skills of children: children were as colleagues from partner countries, care of children and adults.
Supporting language development of children: children speak fluently and clearly in his native language, learn the pronunciation of words in a foreign language.
Education through art - the child audience and actor: the children recorded their films, occurred during the show, watched the products work colleagues from the partner countries.
Education through art - music and singing, and dancing: children sang a song, listened to songs sung in a foreign language, danced with her grandparents.
Supporting mental development of children through play: children play together with grandparents, watched children playing in other countries.
Family education, civic and patriotic: children play with relatives, were able to showcase their country and the city watched, looks like a map, flag, interesting places in other partner countries.

Children learn new words in a foreign language, have known and learned how to use the selected program to present their material.
The best result of our project is the love and patience that grandparents have for their children and the affection that children have towards their grandparents.

A Song for Grandma and Grandpa - Poland

A Song for Grandma and Grandpa

There was littel change in this work step - song for grandparents.

Some of partners wrote to me that there is a problem with John Prill music song.

So with Inna from Latvia (second founder) we decided that children will be singing a song about grandma or grandpa in their country language. We thought that in each country are specific song about grandparents and will be great to listen it in different language.

“Grandma, Grandpa I love you “ - Kids Poems For Grandparents.

Children play in small poets, and tried to write/say short poems for their grandparents.

We made common partner book of poetry.

In this way children developed their language and expressed their thoughts and feelings.

WORK PLAN

First step - My grandparent and I come from ...


We make very simple presentation with country map, city on country, flag of country, picture school. Maybe Power Point or some other program. Children will make it of course with help if they need.
In this way partner of this project (children and teacher) know where we and our grandparents come from.
First week of project.

Second step - Grand … - what it mean - small dictionary make by children.

How we do it:
1. Teacher or kids write on one page word grandmother (in English) and child draw grandmother.
2. Teacher or kids write one second page grandmother but in country language and child draw grandmother (some other child)
3. The same we do with grandfather (in English and in country language) and with word grandchildren (in English and country language).
4. If it is possible we will make video with children when they say the word.
Every work will be add to our website to watch and hear.
We also send by letter to each partner our little dictionary.
In this way partner of this project (children and teacher) make dictionary and know what means and sound word: grandmother, grandfather and grandchildren in different language.
First week of project.

Third step- Grandparent’s experience in love: grandchildren - title of the project expressed in the picture.

Children using any artistic technique reflect the title of the project in the picture.
Next we choose the best picture by children vote. This with the highest number of votes will be symbol (badge) of this project. We will show it in our kindergarten (school).
In this way partner of this project (children and teacher) develop their artistic talent, can votes and decided which picture it the best to show and distribute project.
First and second week of project.

Fourth step - 25 Reasons Kids Love Grandparents. 25 Reasons Grandparents Love Kids.

We will ask children why they love their grandparents.
We will make common partner list with reasons kids love grandparents.
We will ask grandparents why they love their grandchildren.
We will make common partner list with reasons grandparents love kids.
In this way partner of this project (children and teacher) know that there are very similar reasons why grandparent love us and why we love their.
Second week of project.

Fifth step - “Grandma, Grandpa I love you “ - Kids Poems For Grandparents.

Children play in small poets, and try to write short poems for their grandparents.
We will make common partner book of poetry.
In this way children develop their language and express their thoughts and feelings.
Third week of project.

Sixth step - A Song for Grandma and Grandpa.

We will learn “A Song for Grandma and Grandpa” by Johnny Prill.
Every country partner (children and teacher) will learn a short part of song. We will record our sing on camera. In this way we learn an make together song, singing by each country.
In this way children develop their musical talent and can express how they love grandparents by song.
Third week of project.

Seventh step - Grandmother's kitchen.

Each partner school/kindergarten will be cooking country dish with grandma of course :)
Next we will exchange the rules for preparing food. We made European grandmother’ s cookbook.
In this way children spend time with grandmother, know how to prepare county dish and partner country dish, realize that grandchildren can make something together with their grandmother and help them.
Third and fourth week of project.

Eighth step - Grandfather's workshop

Each children from partner school/kindergarten will be making something with grandfather – some build from blocks , play chess or another idea.
In this way children spend time with grandfather, realize that grandchildren can make something together with their grandfather and that grandpa can teach their something new.
Fourth week of project.

Ninth step - Children's playground

We will show grandparent new word of computer play and game that we play in kindergarten/school.
In this way children spend time with grandparent and grandparent know something new about nowadays grandchildren play and game.
Fourth and fifth week of project.

Tenth step - “Read me a story my dear grandma, grandpa”. Reading week with grandmother and grandfather.


Grandparent will be reading story in school/kindergarten like Grimm or Andersen tales.
In this way children spend time with grandparent and grandparent can develop relationship with grandchildren.
Fifth week of project.

Eleventh step - “Grand Activities for Grandparents”

We will make short drama/presentation for our grandparents.
In this way children do something special for gradparents and show what they know about grandparents and grandchildren from other project partner.
We can show all products make in this project.

About project


Older people are acting against the grandchildren of care and educational functions reside with them, often more time than their parents, are also associated with them a strong emotional bond. In such an atmosphere deliberately or subconsciously communicate to the youngest generation of their own cultural values, they formed their own patterns of behavior. In an atmosphere of sustained contact with a grandson and a strong emotional bond with him, the elderly deliberately or subconsciously communicate to the young generation of valuable cultural values of his era, shaped by its attitude towards life and the next and more people, generally valuable for individual and social life. Communicate these values and patterns of behavior, which proved that in the past were the best and are still valuable to the family and society. Transmit them in stories, songs, legends, behaviors, gestures, costumes, festivals and customs.
  
We want to show that: Being a grandparent is a big job, but grandparents have a lot of experience. Grandparents are a great treasure for grandchildren. It's a treasure for the whole family. If your grandparent needs help, you might be the one to lend a hand. And your grandparent might be able to help you for example by playing a game . Show that we are the same and different in relationships with older people. We want to develop language skills and ICT.
